The anaerobic digestion is one of the options to produce biogas using by products that are made on the production of sugar such as molasses and filter cake. In this work we evaluate the production of methane of sugarcane molasses supplemented with filter cake in series upflow anaerobic sludge blanket reactors (UASB), in series R1 and R2, with volumes of 12,1 and 5,6 L, respectively. The values of the organic rating load (ORL) applied in R1 had a variation from 14,88 to 32,08 g DQO total (L d)-1 and the R2 had a variation from 10,68 to 28,45 g DQO total (L d)-1. The average volumetric production observed 0,22 and 0,02 L CH 4 (L d)-1 on R1 and R2, respectively.
