SOCIO-ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY ON CLIMATE CHANGE, ANTHROPIC ACTIONS AND THEIR CONSEQUENCES

Abstract

The human being's action in nature has been causing more and more consequences to life. The importance of debating the variation of the climate on a global scale and its consequences at local level is becoming more and more relevant. This work presents itself as a socio-environmental study on climate change, its components, the consequences on the life of the population, studies and forecasts for the future and ways to try to reduce the impacts generated. It aims to analyze the understanding, expectations, visions of the population in the current scenario and which actions they believe are important to minimize the impacts caused by climate change. The methodology used was the application of semi-structured questionnaires for students who are attending the last year of elementary and last year of high school in the city of Jaboticabal - SP, and later, a comparison between the series was made to analyze how much the theme was developed. The results were compared to national and international scientific panels to assess the extent of the need for actions to contain global warming and reduce its impacts locally. In this work it was possible to identify people who are dedicating themselves to the reduction of pollutants and, of others, people who do not understand the cause or do not understand its importance.
