Resumen

Los genes de bacterias resistentes se consideran contaminantes emergentes. El uso intensivo de antimicrobianos en la producción de cerdos confinados conduce a una gran presión de selección y transferencia de genes de resistencia. La excreción de estos fármacos en los excrementos de estos animales puede superar el 60%. Por tanto, es evidente que la ganadería porcina tiene un alto potencial contaminante, y el destino y tratamiento de los residuos de producción merece atención. Los efectos negativos de la diseminación de genes de resistencia a los antimicrobianos afectan directamente a la microbiota del suelo, cuando estos desechos son liberados sin tratamiento. Y, sin embargo, puede considerarse un riesgo para la salud pública, provocando problemas relacionados con la resistencia bacteriana a los antibióticos de uso humano. Este trabajo es una revisión bibliográfica, que tiene como objetivo demostrar los principales problemas ambientales y de salud únicos de las bacterias resistentes a los antimicrobianos de la producción porcina intensiva. En este sentido, es notoria la importancia del tratamiento de los excrementos porcinos, visando la remoción de estos genes de resistencia, sin embargo, aún existen pocos estudios que muestren eficiencia en la remoción de estos contaminantes por métodos de tratamiento convencionales.
